He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah Ch 6 v 8
Martin & Margaret Senior live in a small village on the East coast of Yorkshire called Aldbrough, Martin is a self-employed mobile greengrocer and his work takes him to approximately twenty villages which often becomes his mission field. Martin is also one of three leaders at Holderness Community Church and is mainly involved in pastoral work, preaching and outreach. Margaret is his helper in both his church work and his secular work; Margaret leads the PFC group which is held at her home. Margaret leads a bible study and she is also involved in caring and preaching.
Martin says: "My wife Margaret had started to bring an old friend that we hadn’t seen for years, round to our house. They were talking religious stuff, and so out of politeness I would join in (not that I wanted anything to do with it). Much to my amazement it all started to make sense; as the Lord gently revealed himself. A short while later, after the Lord helped me to practically help someone at a garage in Hull, I asked the Lord into my life."
Margaret says: "Both Martin and I only went to church for weddings, funerals and christenings. I was not religious, and I’m still not religious, but now I believe in Jesus. January the 21st 1999 is when I met the risen Lord, and as the song goes ‘I will never be the same again’. An old friend of mine, who I met in the village, told me that she was a Christian, and we met together and she spoke to me about Jesus. I began to read the Bible. After about a month I read where Jesus said ‘I am the bread of life‘, that’s when I believed, and met with Jesus.
"I attended the church where Keith and Pauline were the leaders. During my time there they became my spiritual ‘mother and father’, rooting and grounding me in the Lord. Being helpful, patient and persevering with me in times of need. I know they have done all this for the Glory of God, and his name’s sake. I believe that
is of God, and because I have a heart for God, and a heart for Keith and Pauline I am enjoying seeing, hearing, praying and being part of this ministry. Keith and Pauline have a heart to follow God wherever he may lead them. They hear from him, and are practical and effective in their respective ministries. I want to see the Kingdom of God enlarged and in
I see that can happen. This is my reason for being involved in this ministry."
